Ensign Ful-Vue Cameras

A series of box cameras sold between 1939 and 1959.  They were incredibly popular as cheap snapshot cameras, each shooting 12 frames in square format on 120 film (the fourth model, Super, takes 620 film). The first four models have a fixed focus (or "all-distance") meniscus lens with a 75mm focal length. There is a single aperture of f/11 and a single shutter speed of 1/30.  The trick is to hold the cameras steady while pressing the shutter release. The waist-level viewfinders are huge and bright. These cameras can take close-ups down to 3-feet if the lenses are either pulled out or screwed out.
The Ensign Super has a tripod mount, making it a good choice for long exposures.
The fifth model has a plastic body and plastic Astaross lens to match. It still has an f/11 aperture but the shutter speed is 1/40. To take close ups it need the close-up lens attachment. The lens can take filters with a 24mm thread so could be used with neutral density filters or creative filters.
