Olympus OM40

Another high spec SLR from Olympus launched in 1985. This camera can function in auto or manual mode, has off-the-film metering, DX code reader (with manual override option) and a fancier viewfinder display than the OM2n. It has all the same bells and whistles as the OM2n with the addition of another metering mode - the Electro-Selective-Pattern (ESP) mode. This is an early form of matrix metering.

A lovely camera that again enjoys the full complement of OM fit lenses. It doesn't have an off switch though, so best to remove the batteries when not shooting it.
